DIRECTOR'S GREETING
For the last 10 years, people have garnered information from diverse sources to keep up in a rapidly developing information society. The Arts Center KUH has been sharing information regarding the art community both online and off-line and introducing cultural and artistic trends for artists and art enthusiasts. The Arts Center KUH has tried to convey the importance of arts and cultural diversity at the level of users with easy ways for all users to understand, offering opportunities to artists and programs of various genres.
The Arts Center KUH has tried to upgrade to open spaces that aim to benefit the public, strengthening partnerships, opening galleries, and replenishing new spaces. Through novel permanent exhibitions and special exhibitions and events, the Arts Center KUH has provided the public with opportunities to view art pieces they don’t usually encounter, and has created a space for widespread cultural events such as education programs and performances.
INTRODUCTION
The Arts Center KUH is located in Daejeon, South Korea. The Arts Center KUH has tried to convey the importance of arts and cultural diversity at the level of users with easy ways for all users to understand, offering opportunities to artists and programs of various genres.
The Arts Center KUH organizes exhibitions in its own place and/or major museums in Korea. It researches the marketing environment, develops and builds concepts, solicits investors, and connects to museums throughout Korea to plan novel permanent exhibitions, special exhibitions, and events. It has planned and sponsored around 70 exhibitions over the last 10 years, hosting five to seven exhibitions annually so far; about 20 artists belong to it.
In addition, it hosts diverse performances and develops educational programs to recruit and foster young artists who work actively in their field such as music, dance, and art. The performances and educational programs provide the public with opportunities to watch widespread cultural events and view artworks not usually encountered. Arts Center KUH is also involved in publishing and souvenir production.
